Fertility Awareness
What is fertility awareness?
Fertility awareness, or cycle charting, is a non-hormonal method of observing and charting biomarkers for health and family planning. Embodied Cycles uses health education, cervical fluid observations and LH testing to identify ovulation.
Why should I chart my cycles?
Reproduction depends on healthy hormones to produce sperm in men and develop eggs in women. By observing and charting your individual biomarkers you become an expert of your cycle and your body and become an active participant in your healthcare and fertility management.
What is cervical fluid?
Cervical mucus or fluid is produced from and released by the cervix and changes throughout your cycle due to hormones. Your observations can indicate when you are at your most fertile each cycle.
FAQs
Embodied Cycles is the course I am creating that teaches fertility awareness and cycle charting. Embodied Cycles is based off the sympto-hormonal method from FEMM, the organization I am certifying through. The course is six weeks long.
There will be presentations, handouts for your reference and use after the course ends, "homework" assignments as well as a few quizzes along with private one-on-one coaching calls. All the materials are used to instill confidence in yourself and the observations you are making and charting.
Embodied Cycles is for women looking for a non-hormonal method of birth control, a deeper connection with their bodies, and insight into their hormonal health and overall well-being.
You must also be committed to learning, observing, and charting. Like any method of birth control, fertility awareness is not fool-proof, however there is a high success rate when the rules are properly observed. As your coach I will be there every step of the way as we work together to ensure you understand your cycles and feel confident in your observations.
